  • Border walls work. Yuma sector proves it.
  • Our Border Patrol agents have seen firsthand the success of a border wall in Yuma, Ariz. ó which serves as a prime example of how investments in personnel, technology and a border wall can turn the tide against a flood of illegal immigration and secure our homeland.

For years, Yuma sector was besieged by chaos as a nearly unending flood of migrants and drugs poured across our border. Even as agents were arresting on average 800 illegal aliens a day, we were still unable to stop the thousands of trucks filled with drugs and humans that quickly crossed a vanishing point and dispersed into communities all across the country.

It is hard for anyone familiar with Yuma sector today to imagine this scene. Thatís because nearly a decade ago, a group of bipartisan lawmakers came together to protect the homeland, save innocent lives, and build a physical barrier across the border.

  • EVERYONE knows that walls are effective in keeping people from restricted areas when compared to restricted areas without walls. This is simply inarguable.

That said, there are many dems in Congress who will not admit such now that the occupant of the WH is not a dem.

  • The fact-checking leftist media knows this but does not dare report it. That is that in the past, Schummer, Pelosi, Owebama, the Clintons, and other socialists, voted for and supported a wall. Also, has anyone else noticed that Chucky boy, besides looking like a mortician, doesn't speak unless Lil' Nan lest him??? The polls show President Trump won last night. The American public isn't stupid and they also see and know he's right. They also know the US Federal Government isn't run by a guy in a golf shirt living in Miami. Has the left come up with an alternative plan for defending our borders?

  • Imagine a legal immigrant to the US. To to do he or she needed to be from a country that had sufficient quota. They needed a trade or sufficient education to have good prospects for a job. They needed to be healthy, have a sponsor and an address in the US where they could legally stay. Also a squeaky clean criminal and otherwise background. There were other conditions in the past, but the above will do for now. This person works steadily for the next 40 or more years, and never runs afoul of anybody.

Imagine the same person watching 11 million and growing, other folks walking in for free. There are many millions of folks who moved to the US legally. I am sure they are appalled at the current state of affairs.

Island Mike, hoping I do not get kicked of the Island.

  • There are many ways countries keep folks out. Call them barriers if you want. There are legal requirements for immigrants and refugees. They must get past the barriers to get in. If some parts of the barrier system require a wall, so be it.
Up here on the left coast we have the big golf ball on top of a big hill. This radar system tracks everything that moves on the water up to 150 miles out.
They followed a boat load of illegals all the way to Victoria BC where everyone was taken in to custody. That radar system, along with the coast guard and the navy, for a wall, or barrier.
I was wondering: Have you crossed a US border lately? Either by car, boat or air. Have you been to any other country and found out what is required to get in?
I have done all of the above in the last couple of years. Last time by cage was about two weeks ago. We needed to test the status of some new WA breweries.

  • When I travelled to Toronto, weekly, for GM, people asked me to bring bottles. I would put 2 or 3 in my suitcase. Customs was more concerned about the Zineth portable computer that I carried with me. Canada makes HP computers, or did at the time. They tried to get me say that I was a computer salesman.
The nice thing about it also was that I would get reimbursed in equivalent Canada dollars at about $1 UA to $1.35 CND exchange (at that time) and thus avoid any bank exchange fees, often 3%. Win, win.
