  • You people are not paying attention
  • Got this in an email. Let the fun begin.

By: Hyram F. Suddfluffel, PhD, Political Science
I have a degree in Political Science, and I am a card-carrying Libertarian. I've been studying politics and political history for the past 30 years. My specialty is U.S. Presidents. That said, I hope that the House of Representatives impeaches Trump. Let me tell you what will happen next!

    1. The House can pass articles of impeachment over the objections of the Republicans, and refer to the Senate for trial.

    2. The Senate will conduct a trial. There will be a vote, and the Republicans will vote unanimously, along with a small number of Democrats, to not convict the President. Legally, it will all be over at that point.

    3. However, during the trial, and this is what no one is thinking about right now, the President's attorneys will have the right to subpoena and question ANYONE THEY WANT.. That is different than the special counsel investigation, which was very one-sided. So, during the impeachment trial, we will be hearing testimony from James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, Glenn Simpson, Donna Brazile, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Christopher Steele, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Clapper, and a whole host of other participants in this whole sordid affair and the ensuing cover up activities.

A lot of dirt will be dug up; a lot of truth will be unveiled. Finger pointing will occur. Deals will start being made, and suddenly, a lot of Democrats will start being charged and going to prison. All this, because, remember, the President's team will now, for the first time, have the RIGHT to question all of these people under oath – and they will turn on each other. That is already starting.

    4. Lastly, one more thing will happen, the Senate will not convict the President. Nothing will happen to Trump. Most Americans are clueless about political processes, the law, and the Constitution. Most Americans believe that being impeached results in removal from office. They don't understand that phase 2 is a trial in and by the Senate, where he has zero chance of conviction. Remember, the Senate is controlled by Republicans; they will determine what testimony is allowed -- and **everything** will be allowed, including: DNC collusion with the Clinton campaign to fix the election in favor of Hillary, the creation of the Trump dossier, the cover up and destruction of emails that very likely included incriminating information.

They will incriminate each other for lying to the FISA court, for spying and wiretapping the Trump campaign, and for colluding with foreign political actors, especially George Soros. After the Senate declines to convict the President, we will have an election, and Trump will win. It will be a backlash against democrat petulance, temper tantrums, hypocrisy and dishonesty. Even minorities will vote for Trump, because, for the first time, they will see that Democrats have spent 2+ years focused on maintaining their own power, and not doing anything at all about black murders in Chicago, homelessness, opioids, and other important issues that are actually killing people. And, we will spend the following four years listening to politicians and pundits claim that the whole impeachment was rigged.
    So let's move on to impeachment. . . . . .

  • Well, you received it in an email. That certainly makes it perfectly legitimate.

Of course, you didn't bother to find out if Hyram F. Suddfluffel even exists (hint-he doesn't). Previous versions have been "authored" by Gary Knoepke, John Tunis and a version that is floating around has no author attributed to it. A lot of what's claimed in the chain email (who actually passes that trash on anyway?) doesn't fall within the “Rules of Procedure and Practice in the Senate When Sitting on Impeachment Trials” document. For folks who don't know any better, that's the document that outlines the procedure to be followed during an impeachment trial. It does not give counsel the right to subpoena anyone they want-the subpoena must be relevant to the listed charges against the president.

It always amazes me how people will pass on tripe like this without even verifying some of the basics. Makes you sort of the equivalent of CNN around here.

  • I figured that was just a redone version of malarkey to some extent.

Impeach tRUMP. Get it going. I am still curious as to why Hillary crawled under a rock. Why she got so silent. I am curious to know what the stand off is between the Clintons and Trump. What happened to "Lock her up"?
Giuliani is a wonderful loose cannon on deck. He is fun to listen to talking two different directions simultaneously.
Demo's spent two years plus and a few bazillion dollars investigating phantoms.
Lets have fun on the other side of the coin. Guess what! Bring that impeachment.
Elect a demo. Any demo in the office and they will be calling the clintons on the first day asking, "Now what?"
Re-elect Trump, Impeach him and you get Pence for the rest of time.
Compared to zero, this guy is a choir boy.
If you have been looking, Hillary has a neck line full of stretch marks from her last face job. Maybe she is trying a last minute bid to become a VP.
Image the next demo pres trying ~not~ to commit suicide.

  • If you figured it was "redone version of malarkey to some extent", why did you pass it on? It makes you no better than the tools at CNN and MSNBC.

It's not hard to debunk that tripe-maybe you should consider doing just a bit of research before passing garbage off as fact.

  • Bruce:
You say: Re-elect Trump, Impeach him and you get Pence for the rest of time.
What if Pence suddenly falls sick or commits Clintoncide and then you would have Madam President Pelosi.

As far as Hillary goes, She would still Love to be the First Woman President. Never rule her out..

    Just a Thought

  • I figured clintoncide should have happened to Trump with the "lock her up" rant.
I watched hildebeast on a TV blurb the other day. " The gutsiest thing I ever did"
    "Stayed married to Bill...."
    That speaks volumes.
Heard tell Bernie about fell out he other day. He had to call for a chair an then had 2 stints put in. Heart problems at 78?
    Whoda'thunk Pelousy?
She looks close to 78. 88?

The old guard is aging. Next in line, AOC-(rap) and the other 3 Shiites ?

  • Just curious, has anyone heard about Detroit Police Chief James Craig being told by Congresswoman Tlaib that they should NOT use face recognition technology as whites are racist and that he should only hire black officers? News yesterday. Who is the racist?
I for one, and I have talked to others, believe Chief Craig is the best person to hold that job. He has done remarkably well, in my opinion.

  • Webster's new word of the year. Clintoncide, AKA involuntary suicide.

Mower, I took it as parody the first time I read it.Probably like most others.

  • It was not passed on as parody. You, as well as the original poster, are both just as pathetic as CNN and MSNBC. Nice attempt at backpedaling though.
