  • First debate Sept 29, 9:00 pm ET
  • I usually don't watch the debates but I am curious as to how Joe Biden will perform. From the videos I have seen on the internet; Biden does have an issue with memory and he often loses his train of thought; the "Uh, you know the thing." Policies aside, we don't need someone in office that is having trouble remembering. Biden has been in debate training; even with a proxy for Trump. However, there is no way to train for lapses in memory. Trump has not done any training; preferring to spend his time at "Peaceful Protests." I am baffled; Trump is drawing huge crowds at his "Peaceful Protests" yet they say Biden is in the lead in the polls.

  • If you listen to CNN.. Biden cleaned Trumps Plow
If you listen to Fox News Trump made Biden like a complete idiot.

I think the moderator should have a Mute button on the mics and let each person speak and finish their point. I also think if Biden had more than 2 minutes to speak he would show just how much he doesn't know

  • Agreed.

Stay tuned. The mute button will likely appear if/when there are additional debates.

  • This debate was truly Biblical to me. Most folks can find just about anything they want to read about in the Bible. Many versions and many interpretations. So, Trump fans found their guy doing mostly OK, and Biden fans found their guy showing up OK.

Mute button??? Go ahead, and be prepared to find out that Trump doesn't really need a microphone.

I think Trump did OK, "debating" against a loaded stage. CW is a wolf in sheep's clothing, not like his dad, but close enough. Biden was beginning to lose it in the last 20 minutes, his drugs were wearing off and I could see it. His skin was beginning to look kinda pasty and the eyes were glazing a little. He may have been a power to contend with at one time, but not now.

  • Observation on Joe Biden during the debate
  • While ol' Joe did stumbled at times he didn't do any major flubs like we have been seeing. I contribute that to the intense rehearsals that Biden did before the debate. It is like studying the night before a test. You spend hours and hours going over the material, working problems after problems, or reading passages and notes over and over for hours. Doing that builds a neural connection in the brain to the data. The next day you take the test and ace it. A month later, taking the same test and you wouldn't ace it. I was disappointed and wish I had the 90 minutes back; it was a wasted 90 minutes for me. Anyone looking at Joe when he hasn't rehearsed for days on end knows that Joe has a cognitive issue.

  • I do not disagree with what you say but Old Joe easily cleared his low bar and that is all he needed to do.

    Trump did not help himself.

  • Wallace is and always has been a registered Democrat. Fox News is the only major network who tries to give equal time to both sides, the way real journalism was meant to be. Despite that, Fox News Sunday always stacks the deck in favor of dems. Look at Wallace's standard liberal flunkies- Juan, Maria, Mo, Woodward, and the rest. Wallace was a poor choice -should have been Jerry Springer. It wasn't a shutout, and nobody got a hat trick, but Trump won 5 - 1 with Biden scoring the lone late empty net goal. Don't look for another debate -Biden isn't going to do anymore.

  • Re: Observation on Joe Biden during the debate
  • I agree that Biden will likely not agree to additional debates, and last night Trump provided a valid reason for him to not do so.

Again, Trump did not help himself and, no doubt, hurt himself with the all important "undecideds."

    What a missed opportunity.

  • Though I did not plan to, I watched all of the so-called debate.

Hate to say it, but Biden "won" hands down.

It was a disaster for Trump.

  • These are not debates in the true sense of the word. No one won or lost the debate. The two men simply got up and repeated the same things they have already been saying. I remember with the Clinton-Trump debates; although I didn't watch the "debates" between Clinton and Trump, that Trump lost the debate, Trump lost the debate. Yet, here we are, Trump is president.

  • I am expecting an ambush.

Chris Wallace, though a FOX anchor, is a never Trumper who hates Trump as do nearly all so-called "journalists."

Biden's handlers have already refused both a drug test and an inspection for electronic coaching devices. Why?

    Probably won't watch.

  • Yes, Chris Wallace is a democrat; FOX News has been steadily moving towards the left. I figured they would push for a virtual debate so was happy to see that Trump and Biden would be on the stage together so that Biden could not use a teleprompter. However, if he is going to have an ear piece with someone behind the scenes telling Biden what to say then yes, the debate is meaningless. I just wanted to see if Biden could speak on his own. I already know Biden's position; I wanted to see him perform without a teleprompter.

  • A puppet without a stick? Not a pretty picture. If your growing weary of the ever left leaning Fox disaster, I suggest Newsmax TV.

  • The national news media is totally slanted. They completely embellish and slant every word. They no longer allow you to make your own decisions. They make every conclusion for you. They will attack Trump with every question. Trying to watch the national news these days is totally absurd. They will try to play gotya with the presidents taxes all night. Whi cares if he owes a lot of tax or not. Absurd.

  • If he even shows up, the jury is still out if he will. The liberal media has already written the headlines for tomorrow if he does show up, proclaiming Trump the loser and Bite-Me as the winner. Sleepy Joe will have an ear bud to which they'll be feeding him the answers and replies. He also will avoid replying to every question from President Trump with a bashing on the President and not have to spell out answers on his campaign. The President will need to exercise restraint to not keep bashing Bite-Me as incompetent. State it once then move on, remain calm, let the American people see how the left really is.

To me, therein lies President Trump's negative image. ...It's ok to bash the opposition's policies and actions past & present, but don't make personal attacks by name-calling.

  • Trump is constantly called all kinds of names by the left; some really nasty things too. Biden and others on the left are saying he has murdered 200,000 Americans. Yet Trump shouldn't return the favour? I agree that it shouldn't happen but the regressive left are the ones that are the worst at this game. If the regressive left will stop, then so will Trump. Trump will often meet with Democrats; recently with Gov. Newsome in California, and then call them fine people; he said Newsome was a good man.

  • I wonder of Bye-Done will be overloaded on enough mental drugs to burn him out from stress on TV?

He must be on something to mentally wake him up at the appropriate times.

How long has he been in politics? 67 years?
NOW he is going to "fix it"?
    What has he been doing?
    A good career politician.

    Building nothing.
    Taxing everything to support himself.

    Vote for Bye-Done.
    Kiss your money good Bye.
It will be over and Done.
