  • Problem is that many of the high ranking politicians are wealthy and have no visible means of income. And the courts support who ever appoints them. Look what they did to McDonald in Va..
    Term limits or someone going to jail for bribery is the only real answer, We will never see it.

    Term limits would solve just about all of the problems inherent in our system but we will NEVER see such.

  • 50+ years ago, and for many years, I practiced my own form of term limits, I did not vote for incumbents, even if I voted for them before.
    In 1976 I ran for School Board Trustee of my alma mater high school and won a 4 year term. I did not run for re-election in 1980. In 1983, I was appointed by the Board of Trustees for one year to finish a term of a board member who had to resign for a family illness issue. Again, I did not run for office.
