  • Jenny, Jenny, Jenny, Won’t You Come Along With Me?
  • I offer my heartfelt apologies to my buddy Mitch Ryder. Owebiden has tagged former (Canadien) Guvernor of Michigan Jennifer Granholm as his Energy Dept cabinet leader. When she was in charge (DEM guv of MICH) she requested/demanded Owebama reduce and/or eliminate manufacturing with fossil fuels, and only use green sources energy. Owe dismissed her request and now Sleepy Jowebiden has selected her for his cabinet. Oh, it is also worthy to note Jenny Jenny, when guv, enacted a fine/surtax on companies using fossil fuels. She praised a few 'green energy' business that were going to bring 'thousands of jobs' to Michigan and EVERY ONE OF THEM went bankrupt and/or were bought by Cheena firms. We all know we're in for 4 years of socialist (formerly democratic) destruction so be prepared. Wait for AOC join his team as well. Wonder if she'll require all women to wear a hijab now instead of masks???

  • Hey Tim,
Looks to me like you listened to Frank Beckman on WJR this morning. I did too, while I was working in the basement on my man cave. (too much fun)
I listen to Rush, or his subs, in the afternoon.

  • I sometimes listen to Rush but rarely subs.

    Rush will be greatly missed.

  • Rush is the best no doubt, no other comes close, but his subs are very good too. Mark Stein, a Canadian, has an uncanny sense of humor, knows more about American/US History and law than many US citizens, Ken Matthews has first-hand experience of the workings of the government, and Todd Herman has his own conservative radio talk show in the socialist city of Seattle. All are excellent subs for Rush and one is most likely to take over for Rush one day.

  • I've long liked Mitch Ryder, especially C.C. Rider and Devil in a Blue Dress.

  • I first met Mitch and the band in the early 1970’s when DETROIT (sans Wheels) played at my high school. Their one and only album, “Detroit” featured a version of Lou Reed’s “Rock N’ Roll” and getting a lot of air play. I was 17 and our HS band played the gig as the warm-up band. After we played our set and were tearing down our gear, Detroit roadies were setting up theirs. I had my drums packed off to the side backstage and hung around to meet the band, especially Johnny Bee, the drummer, who was the original drummer in the Wheels. When the band started playing the opening track, “Long Neck Goose” right in the middle of it Bee’s snare tore a rip across the head. I knew something was wrong so when the song finished, Bee and the roadies were talking it over as they didn’t have spare head or extra snare drum. I grabbed my vintage Ludwig and brought it to Bee and told him he could use mine. He thanked me and they finished their show as I watched from the wings. After their show I walked to the drum kit to retrieve my snare and Bee and Mitch come up to me and introduce themselves, shake my hand and say how glad they were that I saved the day. I was just happy to meet them, especially Bee –one of my R&R idols. He said he loved my old Ludwig and loved the way I had it tuned, offered me a job as his drum tech, but I was still in school and couldn’t go out on the road so it didn’t happen but we become lifelong friends after that til this day. I did get to sit in on a few recording sessions with him and the band he formed after that, The Rockets. Last year I was privileged to have sat in during rehearsals and recordings of his latest with a revised Alice Cooper band with all Detroit native musicians. Alice Cooper were a Detroit area band in the ‘70’s and made it big with “I’m Eighteen”. This summer I was there for their newest album ‘Detroit Stories’ which will be out in February, 2021. ♯ ♬ ♪ ♩ ƒƒ… Fortissimo.

  • That's easy. Some 45 years ago I lived an MI, the demos in Detroit controlled the elections. Today they still prevail and their area is getting a lot broader. DJT lost the election primarily just because of the Detroit, Milwaukee and Philadelphia election results.

  • There are makers and there are takers.

In this brief moment in time there are more takers than there are makers, a situation that is obviously not sustainable.
