  • "Polarizing Generator"
  • I saw this topic on the Nboard and thought it may apply here too.
I can't imagine a more polarized world, and especially our USA.
We can only wonder what generated this polarization, but I would bet that that this general discussion would also be split 51% to 49%.
This "all or none" attitude has become prevalent and I do not see it changing any time soon.
The calls for unity are quickly followed by we will put you in jail if you oppose us.
These calls are what trouble me the most.
"You are with us or against us", troubles me too..
I hope that someone can come up with a middle ground where a greater number then 51% of our voters can support the cause.
We need the truth and an open forum to discuss it.
So what do you think Generated all this turmoil, and how do we reset it without getting too shocked??

  • The US education system has a lot to do with it when over 75 years ago socialist teachers and 'professors' began brainwashing young impressionable students with their communist beliefs. Even before, guys like Walter Ruther was a communist, lived and worked in Russia for several years. In the 50's and 60's guys like Ginsberg and Keuroc spewed socialist ways. In the 60's radical leftists denounced capitalism (yet the had no problem with getting thousands of dollars) speaking to colleges. In the 1990's skrewools began teaching more and more 'benefits' of becoming socialist and condemning capitalism. They wanted to change history, began excluding the World Wars and Vietnam in books. The 2000's only made socialism grow more and more. Remember, most 2020 HS students were just infants when 911 occurred, and many don't care. This generation believes they always had CDs, DVDs, cell phones, and Internet. The fact is that NO form of socialism has ever worked in the world, period. They only believe what the liberal media tells them to. Riot, burn, kill, because social media, BLM and Antifa tell you? Why not? Tear down historic statues and ban the Confederate flag? Why not? Get free gubment handouts? Why not? On and on it goes. Maybe it will take a revolution to make these millennials wake up.

  • I tell people if they want to understand what happened, read up on the history of the Frankfurt School. They came to the US and started in on their agenda and now; because we slept instead of taking action, are reaping the horrors.

  • The e-mail that I sent to US Rep. Debbie Dingle, Michigan, today.

"You have an opportunity to lead. You could be a voice of reason. You could demonstrate to the citizens of Michigan and to the United States of America, that our government is not broken, it is just dinged up a bit. You could show that our United States Constitution is still valid. Are you up to the challenge?
We will be watching a lot of C-span the next few days. We will be listening to hear what is said in the United States Congress. We will be looking for true leaders.
Hollow slogans will do little to start a process of strengthening our political processes. We have always discussed issues, often with great passion. A true leader can reason with opposing views without flagrant emotional hostility.
    Are you a leader?"

You may agree or disagree. You might say that I should have said... That is what I said. Believe me, many of my e-mails to her have not always been so polite. But, we have to try. Write to your respective representatives.

  • Well, I got my answer. Debbie Dingle is not a leader. Below is the e-mail that I received from her today.

Thank you for contacting me regarding the riots at the United States Capitol. Your thoughts are important.

Since the mid-twentieth century, Congress has met in a joint session every four years on January 6 at 1 p.m. to accept the results of the Electoral College. On January 6, 2021, Congress abided by this historical process and met in a joint session to formally count and accept the votes of the Electoral College. Incited by President Donald J. Trump, protestors quickly descended upon the United States Capitol. While some demonstrators gathered peacefully, a mob violently stormed the Capitol, endangering the lives and safety of all those in it. The rioters destroyed federal property, unlawfully broke into Capitol building, looted congressional offices, fought against law enforcement, and terrorized lawmakers and Capitol staff. Amid the chaos, five individuals lost their lives. We must be unequivocal in our condemnation of these despicable acts of destruction and terror.

The breach of the Capitol is deeply concerning, and a review is currently underway to examine the failures in securing the Capitol Complex. The Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee, which is responsible for funding U.S. Capitol Police, has begun a robust investigation into the emergency response.

We have witnessed a peaceful and orderly transfer of power between presidential administrations for 224 years. The events that unfolded on January 6th represent a stark, dangerous, and sad departure from this precedent, and it will forever be remembered as a dark day in our nation's history. The United States Capitol is the people's house, and the hatred that ensued within its corridors was deeply disturbing to witness firsthand. Peaceful protests are a pillar of democracy and a hallmark of American governance, but destruction crosses the line. Violence and vitriol are not a part of democracy. There are so many ways to disagree and be upset, but violence and destruction are never the answer. Those who wreaked havoc and caused mayhem must be held accountable.

Despite the attempted intimidation, we were not deterred from completing our Constitutional duty. In the early hours of January 7, 2021, Congress accepted the count of the Electoral College votes. Just after 3:40 a.m. Vice President Pence formally declared Joe Biden and Kamala Harris the next President and Vice President of the United States.

We must be clear. Donald Trump incited an invasion of the United States Capitol. He poses a dangerous threat to the American people and our nation, and he needs to be removed from office. It is our hope he immediately resigns or that the Cabinet swiftly invokes the 25th Amendment. If neither occur, Congress is prepared to move forward with every available option, including the 25th Amendment and impeachment, to ensure he no longer endangers our nation.

On January 8, 2021, I cosponsored an impeachment resolution led by U.S. Representative David Cicilline. The resolution will introduce an article of impeachment that charges President Trump with "willfully inciting violence against the government of the United States" with his incendiary comments made outside the White House that incited the insurrection at the Capitol. We have a responsibility to protect our democracy, and the sitting president must be held accountable for his intolerable and egregious actions.

    Debbie Dingell
    Member of Congress

  • The riots were all planned by the RINOS and the DNC and the Democrats. This is a coup against the Republic. I guess we are all lost unless we want to take up arms and fight. I never thought I would live to see this day. I am scared, very scared.

No, Trump posed a threat to the DNC and the RINOs; they were all corrupt to the core; in bed with China and other nations for personal gain and wealth; also Soros that wants to be king of the world.

Why in hell didn't Trump take action when SCTOUS refused to hear the Texas case; that was a clear signal and he let the traitors that surrounded him talk him out of it.

I guess we are all lost now; it makes me want to cry.
