Trump said "We must take care of the people" which used to be the democrat point of view. The old republicans were of the belief that if the country was taken scare of with a decent economy then the people willing to work would be taken care of.
New found democrats believe in income distribution and participation awards.
It seems there are a lot of people stuck in the "Take care of the country" mind set.
