As we have previously discussed, the next four years are expected to be a good time for lawyers. They had better get it now, because AI is going to be putting a lot of lawyers out of work. There will still be a market for good litigators, but savvy ones will utilize AI for research and trial preparation to increase efficiency. The corner office contract readers are unemployed lawyers walking because AI is already beating them in contests. AI can reference applicable local, state, and federal laws in minutes and develop a correct answer. IBM's Watson was already winning contests like this, and Watson is not on par with current AI, which is developing so fast that it is scary.
