The issue here is not criminals or guns. The issue is long standing federal over reach due to FDRs threats to pack the S. Ct. in the 30s. Such threats resulted in the absurd Wickard V. Filburn holding, authorizing the federal government to control just about everything, despite no such authority in the Constitution and the clear denial of such authority by the 10th Amend.

It would be wonderful to see federal authority reigned in, but I'm not expecting much if any reining.
