I am re-reading "Patton: Ordeal and Triumph" and am struck how similar he and President Trump are. Both born with silver spoons and all the trimmings, yet prone to rough language. Both, prone to erratic/emotional behavior. Both whose worst enemy is their own big mouth. Both, prone to self-aggrandizement and whining when they don't get the credit they think they deserve. Both very bright men who accomplished more for our country, in less time than their contemporaries. Hopefully Trump's instincts in managing the USA and our foreign adventures will prove as good as Patton's was in managing the 3d Army.
