Not tractor related but a safety issue
How do you safely cut an old home heating oil tank up to make a camp stove. I need to replace our camp stove and don't know the best way to make the cuts. Torch, sawzall, etc. Your thoughts will be appreciated Sam

Re: Not tractor related but a safety issue
Hello, I have used a jig saw with a metal cutting blade to do this, I thought it had more control than a sawzall. Take Care, Keith

Fill it with water. I sawzall old 100 lb propane tanks in half for feeders. I know of several people who have been killed trying to weld oil/propane tanks. I knock the valves off if they won't unscrew (Piece of hardwood so no sparks). You can get sparks from a sawzall blade or sabresaw blade. Take appropriate precautions regarding electrical problems. Don't get the body of the saw wet and ALWAYS plug into a GFI outlet.
