  • Tool for removing 3 cylinder steering wheel
  • For some of you who own newer 3 cylinder tractors you know that the steering wheel hub has a plastic cover that makes it difficult if not impossible to remove without wrecking the plastic.
So my pal Kenny and I put our heads together and made this puller to remove the wheel.
It's very simple and works quite well.

  • A two piece shaft collar works good on those also. I use a size that is still loose on the tube when the two halves are tightened back together. They are thick enough for puller jaws to grip. McMaster-Carr has them available.

  • The way the plastic hangs down below the metal center hub, pulling with a regular split collar will crack the plastic.
The split tubing as shown lifts from inside the plastic and doesn't destroy the plastic.

  • When using the puller on the end of the hollow stearing post.
Be sure to put the nut back on. If you flair out the end of the tube
    you will be SORRY.

  • Nice still life photo.
Yeah, that pattern was pretty common.
That table was a little drop leaf that was in the garage of a property I bought some years ago. It had two matching chairs with it.
I put it on CL for $100 but didn't get any calls on it.
Then a young lady called and asked to see it.
She was the cutest, busty, blue eyed little thing you'd ever want to see so I let her have it for $50. Even gave her some rope and a pad and helped her tie it onto the roof of her car.
Oh, and she smelled good too.
    What can I say?
