The spacer/adapter is not ideal for use with a buzz saw but can be made to work by shortening the belt and modifying the top link on the saw. Nevertheless, a pulley either 1 1/8" or the much harder to find 1 3/8", that is mounted directly to the tractor without a spacer is more satisfactory.
