First, if you post this in the N Board section you will get more replies than just mine :)>!!!


Safety is the most important part of running anything witht he PTO :)>!!


No loose clothes and NO distractions :)>!!!


The 8N will dig a hole about 3 to 4 feet deep, depending on the soil conditions and your experience :)>!!!


You will have to pick the auger up many times so you don't get the auger stuck to far down in the soil :)>!!!


Also, bring a pipe wrench with you just in case you do get stuck, reverse the direction of the shaft with the Tractor OFF :)>!!!


You might want to try a few practice holes so you can get the feel of the auger :)>!!!


I have a Leinbach Post Hole digger that I bought from The Smart Farmer and am very pleased with it :)>!!!


Remember these tractors and post hole diggers are machines that don't think, That Is Your Job :)>

I can't stress enough to keep raising the auger to clean it of loose soil :)>>!!!!!


You also mite want to bring a long bar and something to pick out any rocks that to find as you are digging :)>!!!
