Ford 917 Flail Mower Knives

Any recommendations on knives for a Ford 917 flail mower? I currently have the short knives, two per hanger, which seem to be common on most flail mowers. Ford also used a single knife design that looks more like a "T" instead of the "Y" that is formed with 2 knives. Does the single knife cutter work any better? I'm cutting weeds/grass including blackberry up to 1/2" thick, and hit dead branches quite a bit, so I'm looking for a decent cut without being too fragile.
