Yes, you can use stay chains. Do a search of the archives - there have been several sets of instructions posted on how to make them. Basically, thay will run from the top link pin to the lower link pins. If it's an 8N with the long pin it is especially easy as you can take the long pin out amd put a clevis in each of the long pin ears. Then, just run chains from the clevises to the lower link pins.
