You must be talking about the belt tension adjustment bolts and the curved plate with the slotted holes that bolts onto the top of the mower frame. I'm not sure how that could get bent, but it shouldn't hurt to straighten the curved plate if that is what is bent.

The drive pulley should run in line with the flywheel pulley that drives the pitman.

I could get you some pictures of mine if that would help.
