While researching a rototiller that I have coming up at auction, I stumbled across an older link from one of my very favorite web sites. Posted on 08-28-2011 at 17:20:34 by Pappy Reed under implements, it relates to a rototiller sold under the Dearborn name and manufactured by the American Marietta Construction Equipment Division, Milwaukee, WI.
The piece I'm selling is tagged as being made by the Utility Tool And Body Co. Inc. Clintonville, WI. However, it bears more than a passing resemblance to the Marietta tiller and according to the owner of the tiller I'm selling, the manual refers to it as a "Tillit", same as the Marietta tiller. Milwaukee and Clintonville are about three hours apart but I suspect that it's the same basic tiller and ownership or manufacturing facilities changed over time. UT&B is still in business as Utility Tool & Trailer but appears to have dropped the rototiller. I don't know if they still offer parts support because it's July 4 as I'm doing this. If it's the same animal it might make it easier for guys that bought the Dearborn branded tiller to find parts or other support. Photos of the tiller I'm selling can be viewed at URL link. Any thoughts?
