OK, I'm just putting your comments in my post even though you answered most already -will make any future archive result searches easier to understand. Are you overfilling and causing an overheating condition? If not overheating, how are you verifying the coolant is getting 'lost'? Your '47 2N would have the 2N-8005, 4 PSI pressurized radiator -is that what you have? Do you currently have a thermostat installed? If so, is it installed correctly, in the upper radiator hose, with the pointed end towards the radiator? SEE Tip 25 from Bruce(VA) Also, and I suspect this may be your root cause problem, it is time to pull the radiator as it is plugged up, and get it to your trusty local radiator shop for boiling and restoring. If you have a newer, Cheena made radiator, that could explain a lot as well...
