My 640 had an excess of milky trans fluid. It was bad enough it would not shift
at 20 below zero. I was told condensation would form from the tractor going from
cold to warm in and out of the shop.
Maybe the Op's slight milkiness is condensation? I would think it would take a long timer to happen.

My case was severe and caused by an absent shift boot. I replaced the boot and put a
plastic shopping bag (held in place by an automotive exhaust donut)over it if it has to sit outside.
