You have to pour slow otherwise it will backwash and over spill outward. Also, it does not mean anything to use a detergent or non-detergent oil, both work fine and one isn't better than the other. Climate and working conditions may dictate what works best and you can search the ARCHIVES here for a ton of facts and opinions on engine oil.PM is the key to keeping any machine running good. You need to check your oil pressure after engine is good and hot, at IDLE, not at full throttle, after a time spent working is best, and put it in neutral, then idle down and see what the gauge reads. Hot, at idle, if less than 10 PSI, means engine is worn and tired and it's time for a rebuild. Below 5 PSI is not recommended -dangerously low and could damage something internally.
