I read your post and then read the answers. Somehow I may have missed something but let me think out loud for a moment.

When you were being towed in you were able to start it up, right? That tells me your electrical stuff is for the most part OK if it would run.

I think leaving the key on drained the battery enough to keep it from starting, even if it would crank, it was taking all it had to give just to turn the starter. Charge the battery, or get a new one if needed, and things may look up some.

Just my opinion that's worth only the time to read about it!!
