S/N 501 is not listed here but as I said in my previous post, it is listed in the Ford/Fordson Collectors List of early 9N owners and I posted the information with it -owner, location, et al. Bear in mind that one reason we cannot locate a lot of the parts used on the early 9Ns is because once they were replaced, chances are they ended up in the scrap heap as WWII saw the US get involved and material restrictions imposed on all US manufacturers and recycling became prevalent. Copper, aluminum, zinc, brass, and other precious materials were to be dedicated to war time ordance only. Starters, generators, (copper), aluminum hoods, et al once scrapped out got melted back down and recycled. Also, it wasn't just Ford that restrictions were imposed on -it was ALL US manufacturing companies. Heck, even Hershey Chocolate suspended making their KISSES so the aluminum they used to wrap them in could be used in airplanes.
