Well, I found my problem today and it's the first time it has ever happened to me. The clip on the distributor shaft that holds the rotary button in place had slide down the shaft. This allowed the rotary button to have about an inch of left to right play it. Corrected the problem, hit the starter, she fire up and ran as smooth as a kitten. Thank you for you help. Now this old Tennesse boy can get to cutting fire wood.
