9N-A gen or 9N-B gen? The 9N-10000-A is a 2-wire/2-brush B-Circuit unit that uses the rectangular voltage regulator. The 9N-10000-B generator is a 1-wire/3-brush A-Circuit unit that uses the roundcan cutout -you can't use one with the other as they are two different animals. The 9N-B genny will have a black slider button on the back plate for 3rd Brush Adjustment and it is marked " HI - LO ". I'd be interested in your non-functioning 9N-A voltage regulator if indeed it is one. Email is open...
