Beware of Rotella 15/40 in cold weather.I put some in my Ford F150 in dec.I got loud rappy starts.Dump the 15/40 for some 10/30.Noise gone.Worn oil pumps cant prime thick oil.My Ford Truck had very erratic oil pressure after starting up with 15/40.Look at a sample of your oil at zero degrees.I had some 40 wt oil in a jar in a cold garage.I stuck a screw driver in the oil to get some for a gasket. The screw driver stood up straight.Put a sample of 15/40 outside at 10 degrees for an hour and note how thick it gets.I drove an International truck that showed no oil pressure on cold mornings.I used to put in a pint of #10 oil to get oil pressure on start up.I repeat check your favorite oil at zero degrees.
