Just to bolt the engine to the transmission will require an adapter plate. It is possible to make one of those, if you can find drawings for the engine and transmission bolt patterns. The clutch assembly for the diesel may not fit in the N-Tractor transmission housing. New holes can be drilled and tapped in the engine flywheel to mount the N-Tractor clutch assembly. Many years ago there was a 4-wheel drive kit for the N-tractors made by Elenco. They were always very rare, so finding one of those today would be difficult, and wouldn't help much for attaching the front axle. Some sort of frame will have to be provided to extend forward from the transmission. Most engine blocks are not designed to be the frame of a tractor. The radiator needs to fit under the hood and match up with hose locations on the engine. Everything else to make this project complete and usable will also have to be custom-fabricated. Hood supports, fuel system, intake, linkages, battery, wiring...
