Looking for the length of the rod between the carb and governor and it it's a straight rod. Carb's been rebuilt, new governor from Just8N's (one on it had rusty balls and was in such bad shape I bought new), tractor runs, but doesn't have response on the last 3/4 of throttle movement. Following shop manual to bend the linkage down to the governor, but before I do, I want to make sure the rod to the carb is the correct length. I found it very bent after purchasing the tractor and on closer inspection it had been broke at some point and brazen together. I straightened it and threaded both ends which I connected with a coupler and lock nuts. I have the ability to adjust it about 3/4". Tractors working so I'm happy. RPM is slightly low I think, but I'm ok with that. Not trying to make it a screamer and shorten it's life, just wanting to get good throttle response over the full range.
