Sounds like the pump is worn out but you may be simply sucking air from a vacuum leak in the intake line.

Do you understand that even with a good pump you will not get a pressure reading as long as 3pt lift circuit is open and passing oil back to the sump?

Not to toot my own horn too much but this is what I would recommend as a long term fix for a worn out piston pump. Get rid of that proprietary, expensive, and unreliable OEM pump for good and replace it with an inexpensive industry standard gear pump.
