I was able to save the ol girl from being junked. I have been wanting a 4x4 diesel tractor, but, not willing to pay the $25k+ those go for and kind of leery buying a used newer tractor.
Had experience from restoring my pride and joy 9n (see pic), have the shop to make parts as I need em (have been building and running Monster Trucks for over 30yrs) so I figured why not. When I found there were no real conversion kits available I went for it. I was lucky to have someone from here link me to blueprints for the mounting plates to the tranny and rear. Was just a matter of figuring how to set up the T-Case.
N series just aren't good with loaders so I figured an actual from welded to the rear end would be the best route. Makes it much stronger, gives it needed weight to handle the heavier loads, and takes stress off the engine as the mount for the front end.
