My 8N has a non-working loop style amp meter; water entered the amp meter housing. I found a loop style amp meter on ebay; the auction included an oil meter which has a different style bezel on it. It was listed in a way that no one noticed it and I only paid a few dollars for the lot. I noticed the seal is out of place on the amp meter. Is it possible to put a new seal in the amp meter or are they made in such a way that it is not possible to service them? My BIL restores camaros and has reconditioned original meters for them so I was going to see what he had to say. I purchased a new wiring harness as the current one is in shambles and intend to do some work on the Old Girl this summer.
