I am not following your description. The starter-less wartime model used a longer (~8"-9") axle pivot pin that fit the standard 9N axle support and was retained by a large hex head set screw installed vertically in the top front of the axle support. The pin had a recessed cross on the crankshaft end that was used to retain and store the hand crank when not in use. It is a one piece casting and cannot be "disassembled". The hand crank had a compression spring and washer arrangement in the middle of the shaft that was used to "clamp" the crank in those slots for storage. To remove the pin you simply loosen the set screw and pull it out from the front or if it is stubborn drive it out from the back.
