Also, what JMOR said about polarizing genny was why I said it wouldn't matter. There is also a ton of useful info in our HOW-TO's forum, polarizing is included, but not your problem. Belt tension is shown to be 1/2" deflection when pressed with the thumb. As your '52 uses the later generator, mounted on the LH side, it should also have the correct mounting/tensioning bracket too.
