I have a 4610 SU that I have a problem with the brake lock slipping a couple notches, and sometimes releasing completely. It appears to me that I would have to buy a whole new left pedal to fix the problem because the little toothed part that is welded to the pedal is worn. I tried filing the teeth deeper, but that didn't help. Someone suggested to me that there might be an aftermarket repair kit for it, since there are so many of those series tractors out there. Does anybody know of such a kit and where I might get one. The last time it released, the tractor was pointing down a pretty steep hill with a 7' Woods mower on back. It slammed into a tree. The weight rack prevented it from getting my radiator but it broke a piece off the casting between the engine and front axle. Totaled my weight rack. I really would like to fix this situation and would sure appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
