Jeff, understand that Yesterdays Tractors is not a part manufacturer nor a supplier, per say. What they sell you are parts supplied by a handful of part suppliers who donate to their site as sponsors. YT's are just a middle-man. Like JMOR said, it matters where you buy parts from. Many of us use JUST8Ns or DENNIS CARPENTER or STEINER TRACTOR. All sell reliable parts and if there is a problem, no issues getting it resolved and no middleman to deal with. CARPENTER is the only licensed by FORD supplier who actually manufactures many parts exactly like the originals, some even using the original FORD machines, tooling, and stamping dies. Don Barkley is the founder of JUST8NS, was Carpenter's QC man on N tractors when Dennis first got into them. Don then split off on his own to start JUST8Ns, but is now retire and the business is run by his son Derek. You can call him or Kevin Norman at Carpenter, or tech support at STEINER, and actually talk to them about any part or procedure. All sell the usual TISCO line as well.
