Have you checked the belt tension on the generator? This is often overlooked as a culprit so if it isn't a faulty VR, a genny in need of rebuild, or faulty wiring, look into the belt and tensioning device. I don't think it is a faulty AMMETER, although a loose connection on it may be a cause. If you need more help, I would go to the FENA site and ask their technical advisor, Bob Sybrandy. Once you determine the root cause, let us know as it will help others who may have a similar problem.
