Larry-
If you have these, they all pretty much cover everything. These are the essential manuals for an NAA Owner/Operator. The last one shown is the FO-4 Manual, exclusive for the 9N, 2N, and 8N Models. You need the I&T FO-19 Manual specific for the NAA Model. In addition, there is a Service Manual that was made for dealer mechanics. We have that one available on our SUPPORT page in CD form -see LINK. As stated, these manuals cover 99.98% of everything you need. The 39-53 MPC has the exploded view of the NAA steering box, part by part listed. The original NAA Operator’s Manual has a page or two on the steering box with the fill plug shown –see picture. There is no draining and refilling. Check by removing fill plug and test with a pencil or other ho-made dipstick. Steering issues can be caused by other factors –wheel bearings, spindle bushings and bearings, toe-in, worn king pin, worn drag links and more. Steering boxes often were neglected and once seals wear out, oil leaks out. The only cure is removal and rebuild. The Dealer Service Manual may have the box capacity in it, but I don't find any listed in the others. Many of use s a 00 grade of grease or Cornhead Grease, not oil. don't overfill. Excess will spill out. The NPT fill plug can be altered to have a Zerk fitting on top to allow ease of grease gun application.
