NO. When the angle mount (side) distributor was released in April, 1950, it eliminated the OEM Ballast Resistor, and added the 8N-14448 Junction Block. It is non-conductive, expect for the wires it allows fastened to it. Go to our HOW-TO's or click on the LINK below for WIRING PICTOGRAMS. The I&T FO-4 manual and 39-53 MPC, and Operator's manuals all have the same info.
