That's not a good indication of a strong battery.

Get a multimeter.

A fully charged battery will show 6.35 volts. At 6.03 volts, it's at 25% capacity. Then, your starter spins just fine.....and you have no current left for a spark.

Buy a $9 meter and an $8 adjustable gap plug checker. Your life will be much simpler!
