I'm not so familiar with your NAA oil bath filter so don't know where the fill marks are.
As to cleaning out the filter element some say to use kerosene in a 5 gal pail and soak the filter in it for a week or so.
That's what I do but I use gasoline and set the pail/filter out by the woods - covered - where there's no chance of it getting spilled or catching a spark from something.
Every day or two I will swoosh it up and down then let it soak again.
Manual says to use whatever oil you use in your engine in it.
A few years ago I was given a new, unopened 2 gallon jug of 30 wt non detergent oil. I didn't want to use it in my engines but think it's fine for the air cleaners.
Free is good.
