I got both running boards off. I found an issue in the process. On both sides where the rear running board bracket mounts to the inspection plate and the PTO lever; the bolts were buggered; very loose. I had noticed fluid seeping out at the inspection plate and now I know why. One of the bolts at the PTO lever had ATV applied; I guess to help seal it. I have no history of this; I have no knowledge of the running boards being removed the last time the hydraulics were worked on. This is a work tractor, it has never been restored; just repair work; engine overhauled, etc. It needs some care and I am trying to address the issues as I can.
The question now is how can it be repaired so that the bolts do the proper fastening job?
I hope all my questions is not a nuisance.
