I have a Ford NAA that I'm trying to replace my rear main seal on from underneath without removing the engine. I've read that you are supposed to lower the crank in order to reach the upper half of the seal. I've removed the rear cap and loosened the front and middle caps by at least a half inch, and I've even turned the crank a full turn but it still will not come down at all. I do have a front loader that runs off a pump connected to the shaft in the front and I wasn't sure if that was holding it up. Anyone have any ideas why this crank won't budge? do I have to take the oil pump off? The manual only says to loosen the cap bolts and it should just sag down. Thanks for any help
