Since I don't want to worry about any metal shavings getting into the pump, I decided to drop the pump and get it out of the way safe and sound. When I took the cover off of the end of the PTO shaft, it was full of oil. So the seal at the end of the shaft is leaking. Is that going to be difficult to replace?

Second is that when I pulled the PTO shaft, I found scarring in the section that is reduced in diameter. What could have caused that to occur? I hope I am not just digging a deeper and deeper hole here.
