I use my back blade on occasion but I will angle it as much as possible. I have the blade offset about 16" or so also. When I swing the blade to angle it, I keep the shorter end of the blade up behind the tractor. Something like a road grader will do at times. Still not the best way to level anything. If there was a crazy wheel mounted with a long arm behind the blade, it might do better. might not dig in or skip quite so easy when the tractor hits a bump or depression. When I get the surface close to what I want then I will swing my blade completely around so it is dragging backwards as the tractor moves forward. I can angle it when doing this also. works a little bit anyway.
