You need an inexpensive pressure regulator like this one. You can get them at just about any farm supply for around $20.

  1. Run your suction line from the bottom of the tank to the suction port on the pump.
  2. Install one end of a tee in the discharge port on the pump and screw the male end of the regulator into the other end of the tee.
  3. Connect your spray hose to the middle leg of the tee and run a return hose from the female port on the regulator back to the tank fill point.
Done. When you start the PTO the pressure regulator will control the pressure at the spray hose by bypassing water as needed back to the tank via the return hose. Screw the adjusting handle on teh regulator in to incresae spray hose pressure and out to reduce it. If you want to get fancy install a pressure gauge in the spray line so you can see exactly what the pressure is set to.
