I have a mid 1939 9n. I'm redoing it to use around the farm. I want it to be pretty, but need not be show quality. It runs really well and has 110lbs plus on all cylinders. Unfortunately it also has a major front crankshaft seal leak. I assume I have to pull the motor and split it, but is it possible to replace the seal without unbolting the rods, or doing major engine disassembly? Also, should I go with the original 2 piece rope seal, or one piece rubber? Thanks!
