Here’s some vital data on the Ford N-Tractor Front Mount Distributor. Firing order is 1,2,4,3 CC as viewed from the front of engine. FYI: Firing Order on the angle (side) mount also is 1,2,4,3. Do you own copies of the Essential Manuals? If not, invest in them; they are the most valuable tool you can have. The Front Mount Unit is timed off the tractor and on your bench. Breaker Point gap is .015” and timing is set according to instructions in the manual. Mounting is done one correct way only – cam is offset and distributor cam and weight tang is offset –THEY MUST MATCH! If mounted off 180°, it will destroy the aluminum base unit the second power is applied and render as scrap. If you need help rebuilding your front mount, Farmer Dan (email@example.com) has some OEM units all ready to go, guaranteed quality parts and workmanship.
