Use a respirator . I was a safety director for 10 years for a large construction company. This might have been discussed already but I will give you this information. Respirators are all made for specific hazards. Make sure you get on that is made for paint fumes. Also if you are going to do it a lot facial hair is not a good thing. If you have a beard you will not get a good fit and it will leak. Makes sure you get the right on and it fits properly. A dust mask is not a respirator and will not stop dangerous fumes.
