You are looking at casting numbers, not the assembly numbers. You won't find any FORD assembly numbers anywhere, only individual casting part numbers. If you are seeing the 8N prefix codes, most likely they are OEM original parts. They should fit and swap out with each other. The SEP 1952 MPC lists the assembly numbers as: 8N-604-A; aluminum; and 8N-604-B; cast iron. FORD wouldn't have changed the bolt pattern on the pump or center housing. Get your manuals and look at parts diagrams and the FO-4 manual for installation instructions. How far off is the alignment? Is it just one hole or the whole pattern?
