I've been doing some more reading Mike, and the "long pin" looks like a "top link pin" and "split collar" looks like "top link reducer bushing"I believe my answer is: more "heat and beat" to go! to get spacer to come off of pin.

I'm still looking to confirm correct terminology for name/description of pin and bushing lol :-) If I haven't figured things rightly, doubtless someone'll chime in to make corrections lols >:-D
